CHAPTER 12

Meeks had been riding around Raleigh all afternoon and evening looking for Lauryn’s car. There were not many white Panamera’s in Raleigh with white rims and black tint, so he didn’t think she would be hard to find. After circling the city more times than he could count he finally decided to go home and try his luck this next day.

He felt like a fool for letting anything come in between his relationship with Lauryn. He tried his best to show her how much he loved her everyday and now it was all ruined over a thrill. Meeks hated himself for everything he’d done including sleeping with Yasmine.

He knew how he felt about Lauryn, but one may feel otherwise with all he’d done in such a short amount of time. He’d fucked with a grimy hoe from his past, slept with Lauryn’s best friend, and endangered them all with Zara’s scene at the house. He felt like less of a man for allowing all of this to happen.

Meeks usually kept everything together. He knew how to keep the bullshit out of his personal life, but now the bullshit was his personal life. Instead of being content with what he had, he managed to fuck it up to a point of no return. He knew how stubborn Lauryn could be so there was no telling how long it would be before he talked to her.

He relaxed in his seat as he drove home. Meeks’ heart was broken and he didn’t know what to do. He knew his feelings were deep for Lauryn, but not this deep. He didn’t know his whole world would shatter without her. The thought of not coming home to her at night killed his spirit. He knew when he got home he wouldn’t be welcomed by her bright smile or her soothing voice and it hurt him deeply.

The only person he could expect to see was Yasmine, which made him regret having sex with her even more. What’s sex? he thought. It damn sho ain’t worth losing my baby.

Meeks knew then and there that he would never cheat on Lauryn again. The thought of having Yasmine in his home without Lauryn being there upset him. Yasmine could never sex him well enough to make him want to be without Lauryn. He’d never choose a bitch over Lauryn and now his life was upside down without Lauryn.

“FUCK!!!” he screamed as he slapped the steering wheel. Meeks was afraid more than anything, afraid he’d lost her forever.

He pulled into his driveway and sat in his truck for a moment. He really didn’t even want to go in the house because it would feel lonely without his favorite girl. He didn’t know what their home felt like without Lauryn and he didn’t want to find out. He’d never experienced anything like this before over a female. It had always been easy for him to love em and leave em, but it was something different about Lauryn. She wasn’t just some chick, she was his queen.
